1. In Devil in a Blue Dress, Mosley takes great care to allow readers to delve deep into the psyche of Easy. We see his fear, his courage, his relationships, his past, his love, and his L.A. Considering the first 2 sections of the novel that we have read thus far, pick one quote from the text that struck a chord with you (one that we have not yet discussed). Since we see all aspects of the novel through Easy's eyes, anything that you pick is telling of his perspective on life. Consider character, race, color diction, class, etc. This will be a 15 minute free-write. Afterwards, you will be responsible for responding to one other person in class.
